FrameworkLTC® Update History

We have always considered the special needs of pharmacy providers. Our customer's unique requests contribute to continual enhancement of FrameworkLTC®.

Below are the FrameworkLTC software release notes and a brief description of the changes, fixes and enhancements, along with a listing of the new label and/or medical record formats included in each release. These descriptions are meant to assist you in determining which sections of the software have changed.

NOTE: Software updates include enhancements and changes to existing functionality.  Care should be taken to evaluate the impact of these changes prior to deploying the update.

Version 3.0.044

NOTE: All updates are cumulative. Applying the most recent update will include all previous enhancements and bug fixes.

  • Rx Entry
    • The invoice group will now be updated as the MOP changes in Rx Entry. If the MOP does not have a default invoice group, then the Patient Default Invoice Group will be used. Previously once the first MOP was chosen, the invoice group was assigned and never updated as the MOP did.
    • FrameworkLTC® will now send a <RoChange> message to Medicine on Time when cutting a reorder record via the Recall Rx function.
    • When adding a new physician via the Rx Entry screen, their status will be automatically set to Active.
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to identify a prescription as an extra dose.
  • Reorders/Refills
    • FrameworkLTC® will now preserve the value of the 'Send Basic Info to MOT' checkbox when processing a reorder or refill.
  • Billing Export
    • FrameworkLTC® allows the user to export billing into the MAS format.
  • Calculate Drug Quote
    • FrameworkLTC® will now allow the user to quote multiple items, adding each to a quote that can be printed.
  • Workflow
    • FrameworkLTC® will now send an <AddDrug> message to Medicine on Time when adding a NDC to the pharmacy formulary.
  • Calculate Drug Quote
    • FrameworkLTC® will now log the date/time that the label was printed along with the user that printed it.
  • System Options
    • The 'Only reset workflow steps when significant fields change' system option will now include a change in the quantity.

    • FrameworkLTC® will now allow the user to quote multiple items, adding each to a quote that can be printed.
    • New System Option 'Assign Invoice Numbers to Third Parties' will allow the user to generate invoice numbers for Third Parties if they are not using Accpac or Quickbooks.

Version 3.0.043

  • Patient Setup
    • When adding literal orders to a patient's profile, FrameworkLTC® will now default the physician on the literal to the patient's primary physician.
  • Physician Setup
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to mark a physician as Active or Inactive. Only Active physicians will be displayed in the physician lists within the application.
  • Person Centric Admin Time Translations
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to maintain a list of translations between person centric times and an actual time of day.
  • Renew Rx
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to change the physician.
    • FrameworkLTC® will now carry the comments from the old order over to the new order.
    • An Integra DocuTrack® button as been added the screen that displays the new prescription number.
  • Packaging
    • The quantity and drug name have been bolded.
    • The font size has been increased on the product warning.
  • Final Review
    • The quantity has been bolded.
  • Create Per Diem Billing
    • The functionality to create per diem billing has been removed from the 'Create Billing' screen and made into a new function on the 'Prescriptions' menu.
  • Create Unit Dose Composite Billing
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to not split controlled substances and not split for inactive patients.
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to re-apply the method of payment selection rules to unit dose prescriptions prior to these prescriptions being composited. You can also choose to split these prescriptions if a change in the primary method of payment occurred.
  • Export Batch
    • FrameworkLTC® will attempt to translate person centric times into a valid time of day when using the AutoMed, Talyst and Chudy Group formats.
  • Print Patient PDE Monographs
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to include a patient consent.
  • Controlled Substance Export
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to exclude prescriptions dispensed to pseudo patients.
  • Reverse Posted Rx
    • An error would occur when attempting to submit a reversal within the Windows® Vista environment. This behavior has been corrected.

Version 3.0.042

  • Facility Setup
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to filter the information shown on the packing slips tab.
  • Pharmacy Formulary
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to indicate if the drug product is a supply item.
  • MAR Groups
    • When attempting to delete a MAR Group, FrameworkLTC® will display a warning if the MAR group is associated with existing orders or default MAR groups.
  • Batch Status Monitor
    • The patient's nursing station ID, room and bed have been added to the details that are displayed in the grid.
  • Rx Entry
    • Post It Notes were not functioning for the secondary method of payment. This behavior has been corrected.
  • Flash Rx
    • When processing by dispensing calendar, FrameworkLTC® will look at all active prescriptions where the start date on the reorder record plus the days supply is less than or equal to your processing end date.
  • Print Packing Slips
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to export the information to a file that can be used with the All Med Express interface.
  • Export Batch(es)
    • FrameworkLTC® has added an additional field to the end of the MTS record. This field contains the patient's last name, first name and middle initial.
  • Credit Rx
    • FrameworkLTC® will now display a message if the prescription you are attempting to credit was split during the unit dose composite billing function. The message will include the Rx# for the remaining balance.
  • Export Billing
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to export billing information in the Net-Rx RecRx Claim File Format.
  • License Checking
    • Under certain circumstances, blocking was occurring when checking the license. This behavior has been corrected.
  • Clinical Warnings
    • The clinical warnings screen is now sizable.
    • Drugs interactions will now be displayed first. Pre-cautions were moved to second.
    • The color of drug interactions will be based on the severity.
    • When using Fast DDI, major interactions will be displayed first, moderate interactions second and then minor interactions.
  • System Options
    • New system option, 'Only reset workflow steps when significant fields change'. If this option is turned on, the workflow steps will only be reset when the patient, doctor, drug, SIG, quantity per dose, admin type, times per day or ingredients (on user defined IVs) change.
  • New Label Formats - TFLBL138, TFLBL141, TFLBL142, TFLBL143, TFLBL144, LFLBR41 and TFIV25.

  • Rx Entry
    • FrameworkLTC® will now change the fore-color of the MOP and/or MOP2 fields to red if the status on the insurance plan setup is not 'Active'.

    • FrameworkLTC® will now prevent orders from being posted that still need authorization.

    • Under certain circumstances, transactions were being incorrectly marked as covered by per diem. This behavior has been corrected.

    • FrameworkLTC® users can now select transactions based on Facility, Payor, and Patient.
  • FlashRx
    • Under certain circumstances, the cutoff date was not being evaluated when using the dispensing calendar. This behavior has been corrected.

Version 3.0.038

  • Facility Setup
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to maintain a 'Do Not Send' list of NDCs. A warning will be displayed if the user tries to fill an order for a drug product that is on this list.
  • Nursing Station Setup
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to maintain a 'Do Not Send' list of NDCs. A warning will be displayed if the user tries to fill an order for a drug product that is on this list.

    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to reverse prescriptions outside of the current facility.
  • Retro Quick
    • Under certain circumstances, a 'divide by zero' would occur when attempting to Retro Quick prescriptions where the quantity was zero. This has been corrected.
  • System Options
    • New system option, 'Allow splitting of controlled drugs when rebilling prescriptions using Retro Quick', on the General tab. If set to No, prescriptions for controlled drugs will not be split when using Retro Quick.

  • Patient Profile
    • Under certain circumstances, an error #91, 'Object Variable or With Block Not Set', would
      occur when using the 'Change Patient ID' button. This behavior originated in version
      3.0.031 and has been corrected.
  • Facility Setup
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to specify a maximum days supply for controlled solid oral meds, a maximum days supply for non-controlled solid oral meds, a maximum
      quantity for controlled solid oral meds, and a maximum quantity for non-controlled solid
      oral meds.
  • Nursing Station Setup
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to specify a maximum days supply for controlled
      solid oral meds, a maximum days supply for non-controlled solid oral meds, a maximum
      quantity for controlled solid oral meds, and a maximum quantity for non-controlled solid
      oral meds. These values will override the facility values if set to something other than
      zero.
    • New cycle type - Refill On Demand - allows you to specify a set number of days for new
      orders. The cycle fill checkbox will not be defaulted when using this cycle type.
  • Compounds
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to enter compounding instructions.
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to enter an 'Active' or 'Inactive' status.
  • Rx Entry
    • When saving a new prescription for a solid oral med in Rx Entry, FrameworkLTC® will warn
      the user if the quantity or days supply entered exceeds the maximum values set for the
      nursing station or facility.
  • Reverse a Posted Rx
    • FrameworkLTC® will now include prescription information in the comments field of the
      inventory log entry.
  • Credit Rx
    • FrameworkLTC® will now include prescription information in the comments field of the
      inventory log entry.
  • Receive Inventory
    • NDC count has been added to the Inventory Received report.
  • Find Patient
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to search by social security number.
  • System Options
    • New system option, 'Automatically calculate the quantity prescribed (460-ET) for new
      transactions'. When this option is turned on, the ECS value will be defaulted to (Refills
      + 1) * Quantity Dispensed on new orders.
  • Duplicate Therapy Screening
    • Only those orders with a transaction type of ‘P’ will be considered when looking for active
      orders.
    • When displaying the details of the other orders, the product description abbreviation will
      be used instead of the product name.
  • New Physician Order Formats - LFPOF76, LFPOF76-P and LFPOF77.
  • New Auto Substitution Format - LFASN03.

Version 3.0.034

  • Patient Profile - Rx History Information
    • An error #-2147217900, 'Incorrect syntax near ... ' would occur when adding comments that contained an apostrophe. This behavior has been corrected.
  • Patient Profile - Payment Plans
    • FrameworkLTC® will now validate that the active dates are in the correct format before saving.
  • Pharmacy Setup
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to select the Reviewed By Pharmacist that will be used when processing reorder/refill requests in FwDirect®.
  • Rx Entry
    • When saving a prescription, FrameworkLTC® will warn the user if the directions or administration times have been modified by another user while they were in edit mode.
    • When refilling/reordering a prescription, the 'Order has been cut' warning will now appear before the 'Refill Too Soon' warning message.
  • ScanRx
    • The 'Order has been cut' warning will now appear before the 'Refill Too Soon' warning message.
  • Export Batch
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to create a format suitable for use with Doc-U-Dose.
    • FrameworkLTC® will now generate a report detailing the information in the file when exporting to Pacmed Server +.
  • Insurance Plans
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to maintain multiple formularies for each insurance plan. The formulary is specified on the Patient Profile, Payment Plans screen.
  • Financial Impact Report
    • FrameworkLTC® will now include archived history records.
  • Update Inventory from Disk
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to import inventory information from SureCost.
  • ADO Bar
    • When multiple users were editing the same record at the same time, an error #-2147217864, 'Row cannot be located for updating. Some values may have been changed since it was last read' would occur when saving the record. FrameworkLTC® will now attempt to merge the two records together.
  • System Options
    • New option, 'Tie original date to date written instead of dispense date on new Rxs'. If set to yes, the original date will be updated to match the date written when editing the date written on new prescriptions in Rx Entry.
  • New MAR Formats - PFMAR10, LFMAR37-SE, LFMAR105, LFMAR106, LFMAR106-NI, LFMAR107, LFMAR107-S and LFMAR107-X.

Version 3.0.033

  • Initial Review
    • The 'Block pharmacists from reviewing their own work' system option was not being evaluated properly. This behavior originated in version 3.0.030 and has been corrected.
  • Post Batch
    • Profile only scripts were being included in the total quantity dispensed. This behavior has been corrected.
  • Print Detailed Statements
    • FrameworkLTC® will now populate the 'Total Due' column in the 'F' records of the Express Bills File.
  • Facility Setup
    • The 'Authorization required for facility pay Rxs when Third Party coverage exists' check box has been renamed to 'Authorization required for private pay Rxs when Third Party coverage exists'.
  • Rx Entry
    • Under certain circumstances the price code was getting cleared when entering IVs. This behavior has been corrected.
  • Export Batches
    • FrameworkLTC® will now use a temporary file when creating the PacMed Server + export file. Once the export is complete, the temporary file will be renamed to the file name provided by the user.
    • Additional fields have been added to the MTS export file for times per day and label warnings.
  • Patient Profile
    • FrameworkLTC® will now make an entry in the audit log when the 'Change Patient ID' button is used.
  • Batch Status Monitor
    • Billing only transactions were not being included in the ‘Not Reviewed’ count. This behavior has been corrected.
  • System Options - New System Option
    • 'Do not combine credits and charges for third party payors'. If this system if turned on, separate credit notes and invoices will be created in ACCPAC.
  • New Prescription Label Format - TFLBL136

Version 3.0.030

  • Patient Profile - Rx History Information
    • The time the order was added to a packing slip was not being displayed on the Workflow tab. This behavior has been corrected.
  • Pharmacy Formulary
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to specify drug zones when copying actual cost to average unit cost.
    • User-defined drugs that did not have a screening NDC set were not being included in the formulary list. This has been corrected.
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to replace items in On Site stores when performing a drug substitution.
  • Package Types
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to set the default number of labels to one for particular package types.
  • Rx Entry
    • An error, "object variable or with block variable not set", would occur when changing facilities while the Rx Entry, Patients, and Reorders screens were open. This behavior has been corrected.
    • An error, "Incorrect syntax near 'S'.", would occur when saving an order whose zone contained a single quote. This behavior has been corrected.
    • FrameworkLTC® now displays additional packing slip information regarding the driver and receipt on the Workflow tab.
    • An error, "invalid property array index" would occur when closing the patient profile screen and Rx Entry was open with an inactive patient selected. This behavior has been corrected.
    • When the 'Refill Too Soon' message appears and the user selects 'No' to continue filling the order, FrameworkLTC® will now prompt you to create a reminder. These orders will be printed on the new Refill Reminder report.
    • FrameworkLTC® will evaluate the 'Default to One Label' setting on the package type setup screen.
    • When recalling an order, FrameworkLTC® will now display the comment from the original order.
  • Reorder Rx
    • FrameworkLTC® will now display a warning message if the order has been cut.
  • Scan Rx
    • When the 'Refill Too Soon' message appears and the user selects 'No' to continue filling the order, FrameworkLTC® will now prompt you to create a reminder. These orders will be printed on the new Refill Reminder report.
    • The package type was not getting re-evaluated when the 'Re-apply inventory zone selection rules on refills/reorders' system option was turned on. This behavior has been corrected.
  • Leave of Absence
    • FrameworkLTC® will evaluate the 'Default to One Label' setting on the package type setup screen.
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to print Rx labels for added scripts.
    • FrameworkLTC® now gives you the ability to print PDE Monographs for added scripts.
  • Initial Review
    • An Integra DocuTrack button has been added.
    • FrameworkLTC® will now display a message when the transaction type is 'Billing Only'.

  • Post Rx Batch
    • FrameworkLTC® will now store the patient's nursing station, room and bed on the prescription history record.
    • FrameworkLTC® will no longer allow you to post an order without a price code.
