SoftWriters, Inc. releases FrameworkLTC Version 3.0

Pharmacies using SoftWriters' FrameworkLTC product will
find the latest version of the software, 3.0, rich in
features to provide more precision in inventory management
and reordering, according to Tim Hutchison, vice president
and director of development for SoftWriters.
Included in the new version is an inventory forecast calculator. This allows
forecasting of usage by drug over a period of time and the
weighting of recent factors through exponential smoothing to
gain a more accurate forecast of future usage. Based on the
forecast, reorder points and quantities can then be
adjusted. FrameworkLTC now allows the designation of more than one package type for each nursing station. With the
latest version, all nursing stations at the facility will be
set up with a default to the allowable package types for
that facility.
